Early Life, Family & Education

On May 22, 1987, Novak Djokovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia. The names of his parents are Srdan and Dijana. He also has two brothers who are professional tennis players. Novak became interested in tennis when he was only four years old. He finished his high schooling at the Pilic Tennis Academy.

Novak is married to a woman named Jelena Ristic. He first met his wife at his high school. The couple begin dating in 2005 before actually marrying in July 2014. Novak and Jelena are parents of two children whose names are Stefan and Tara.  Stefan was born in 2014 and Tara was born in 2017.

Career

Novak Djokovic started playing professional tennis in the year 2003. Before that, he was a junior tennis player. He played his first-ever Grand Slam at the Australian Open in the year 2005. That year, he went as far as the third round of both the US Open and the Wimbledon. 

In 2006, he played French Open for the first time. He also won his first ATP title that same year. He succeeded in entering the Madrid Masters quarterfinal. Novak won the 2007 Rogers Cup title by deafening Andy Roddick, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer.
