New Delhi, Sep 19 (IANS) Two men were captured in the public capital with an enormous reserve of psychotropic medications, authorities said on Monday.
The denounced, recognized as Jatin (23), an occupant of Uttam Nagar, and Taranjeet Singh (40), who is Afghan by birth, were in control of around 9,000 tablets and 3,000 containers of Alprazolam and Tramadol, separately.
Strikingly, Alprazolam tablets require a remedy for buy in India. It goes under benzodiazepines class of psychoactive medications. It is a medication popular among metropolitan Indians.
Essentially, Tramadol has been placed at chronic number 110Y in the Timetable of Psychotropic Substances under the NDPS Act.
Delegate Chief of Police (West), Ghanshyam Bansal, said the police had gotten a clue on September 14 that Jatin will convey medications to one Afghan public close to Gali No. 13 in Tilak Nagar.
Hence, a police group was comprised which laid a snare and captured the two denounced people, Jatin and Tarandeep, and held onto the medications from their ownership.
